Up to now the volumes Sea Urchins I and Sea Urchins II are available. The third volume is already half done. These three books are a richly illustrated Encyclopedia of living sea urchins, describing most of the recorded species of today. They are the base for the identification of sea urchins. The books are organized as follows.

-Sea Urchins I: worldwide species of shallow water.
-Sea Urchins II: worldwide irregular species of deeper water.
-Sea-Urchins III: worldwide regular species of deeper water.



Sea Urchins I is the basic book, which treats the evolution, ontogeny, systematic, morphology, ecology and geographic distribution of the sea urchins and describes the more common species living in shallow water.

Sea Urchins II deals with the irregular sea urchins, which live in deeper to very deep water. Almost all recorded species of today are introduced, partly with old original illustrations. more.....



Sea-Urchins III will include the regular sea urchins of deeper water. It will be published at the end of 2010 or early 2011.
